N70 หรือ Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate (SLES) หรือ Sodium Laureth Sulphate เป็นสารลดแรงตึงผิว ทำให้เกิดฟองได้เร็ว ซึ่งมักจะนำมาใช้ทำแชมพู หรือน้ำยาซักผ้า

N70 เป็นเคมีภัณฑ์อีกชนิดหนึ่งที่นิยมนำมาใช้ในอุตสาหกรรมเครื่องสำอางมากที่สุด เพราะมีคุณสมบัติในการชะล้างที่ดีเยี่ยม และมีส่วนผสมของแอลกอฮอล์ที่สกัดจากธรรมชาติ จึงมีความปลอดภัยสูงสำหรับนำไปผลิตข้าวของเครื่องใช้ในชีวิตประจำของผู้คนได้ เช่น สบู่ เครื่องสำอางและผงซักฟอก เป็นต้น

Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate (SLES) หรือ N70 เป็นสารที่สกัดได้จากน้ำมันมะพร้าวและน้ำมันปาล์ม จึงมีคุณสมบัติของการลดแรงตึงผิว อีกทั้งยังสามารถทำให้เกิดฟองและมีคุณสมบัติพิเศษที่ดีคือ สามารถขจัดน้ำมันออกจากผิวหนังหรือเส้นผมได้ ดังนั้น ในอุตสาหกรรมเครื่องสำอาง จึงนิยมนำมาผลิตแชมพูสระผม สบู่อาบน้ำ หรือน้ำยาซักผ้า นอกจากนั้นยังนิยมนำมาเป็นสารประกอบในผลิตภัณฑ์ทำความสะอาดต่างๆ เช่น น้ำยาล้างห้องน้ำ น้ำยาถูพื้น น้ำยาล้างรถ อีกด้วย นอกจากนั้นยังสามารถนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ในอุตสาหกรรมต่างๆ ได้ดังนี้ เช่น

  • ใช้เป็นสูตรทำความสะอาดพื้นผิวต่างๆ และสารจากเคมียานยนต์
  • ในอุตสาหกรรมฟอกหนัง ใช้ N70 เป็นน้ำยาล้างและขจัดคราบไขมันจากหนัง
  • ใช้เป็นส่วนประกอบในการผสมคอนกรีตมวลเบา เพื่อป้องกันการแข็งตัวของคอนกรีต ในอุตสาหกรรมก่อสร้าง
  • นำมาใช้ในการทำพอลิเมอไรเซชันแบบอิมัลชันสำหรับการผลิตการกระจายตัวของพอลิเมอร์ ในงานอุตสาหกรรมโลหะ
